2006 Rose Parade : The good news was that we were able to get good bleacher seats tho the Rose Parade. The bad news is that it was held in a soaking rain. For those of you who haven't been there, the seats in the stands have not grown to keep pace with the 21st century American physique. I was in seat 2, pushing my wife against the railing of the stands and the lady in seat 3 noted that the number two was in the middle of my right leg. Luckily, there was some space in the rows above me and when I moved there, I was able to take mostly unobstructed photos of the parade. For those of you who missed it or were smart enough to sit by the fire and watch the TV, here is the Rose Parade up close and personal.

The Blue and Gray : A re-enactment of the Battle of Chancellorsville was part of a two day weekend for Civil War reencactors at Moorpark, CA (http://www.forttejon.org/moorpark ). In addition to the battle itself, there was a "Civil War" era village and everyone dressed in costume.
